2:18 PM: i did more work on yesterdays painting/collage. at one point i wanted to make some marks with one of my fountain pens, so i brought a bottle of black ink over to my work table, opened it and dipped my pen. the pen’s reservoir was dry, which is why i had to dip the nib into the bottle of black ink. in the process, i hit it with my hand and the bottle fell over, spilling black ink everywhere, including both my legs and my toenails and sandals. a real MESS!
it took me over an hour to do the initial cleanup, but there’s a lot more to do. believe it or not, once i did the initial cleanup, i continued work on the piece, including a portion of a quote by matisse. so here it is in it’s current state.
