“moonlight” and "in motion II" next stage / by Philip Tarlow

3 PM: once i finished working on in motion II this morning, i resumed work on moonlight, which i started yesterday. needless to say, i flipped it 360, whited out some portions and began a drawing in blue oils.

flipping newly begun compositions 360 is becomeing a habit, and i’m wondering if it has to do with the fact that i was a breach baby & they had to get me out with a C Section. not out of the question, right?

2:12 PM: in motion II was too busy and dark, so i did more work on it this morning. of course, as you might expect, i flipped it 360, which at this point is becoming a trade mark of my recent work.i also collaged two pieces of paper, upon which i made some calligraphic ink drawings this morning.

the collaging, plus the 360 flip did allow me to take a fresh approach, and so far i think she’s looking better than yesterday.

now i’m shifting my attention to moonlight, the new one i started working on yesterday. i’ll post when i get a bit further.
