towards the end of painting this one, my collapsable easel slipped in the muddy soil & began to tip over. when i went to stabilize it, my hand landed on my palette and became covered in oil paints. i called mikela down to help. she took one look at it and exclaimed "i love it; don't do any more!" she's often spot on in her perceptions and has frequently saved me from overworking my paintings.
this one was influenced by rock people (below right) which was painted that morning in my studio.
