11:03 AM: i started working on this one yesterday. when i gazed at it this morning, upon entering my studio, the black & white checkerboard patterning on the upper right was dominating the composition, si i toned it down. what i had done was still wet, so it was easy to rub it out, revealing the same patterning underneath, but without the black.. here’s the before & after. see what i mean about the b&w checkerboard patterning dominating the composition? and in person, it’s SO much better!
