PT in Studio, 25×25” 10/4/26 oil on portrait linen
12:54 PM: i started this one yesterday and it looks like i may have completed it today. in case you didn’t see yesterdays blog post, this painting was inspired by a photo mikela shot of me a few days ago of me wearing my studio apron and standing in front of a recent painting hanging on my East studio wall.
i find that making a painting over a previous, whited over painting adds richness. i’ve been doing that lately and, as i look at those paintings and compare them to the ones painted on the original white ground prepared by artfix, i prefer them. when i show them in a future exhibition, the visitors will likely have their own preferences.
