starting my day with the wandjinas/continuing "parade 35"/wind / by Philip Tarlow

3:32PM update: i'm stopping here for the day. i spent much of the time today on my step ladder, and my right knee is aching, so i'm going back to the house to ice it. i just completed 3 hyalgan shots in that knee, and it's still pretty sore. the shadows on the floor are clearly bringing this painting into focus. i'll continue in the morning.

on ROW 2: yesterdays version on the left, todays on the right.

WIND: our red flag warning for high winds and extreme fire danger continues today. we typically have high winds in the spring, but this is beyond the usual 20-25mph, with winds gusting to 45mph at our 8,000 ft. altitude and 65+ over 11,000 ft. combined with extremely low humidity of 10% or less, this creates conditions favorable to potentially devastating fires. this is a shot of our morning sky looking east towards crestone peak from our living room.
