12:34pm update: well, the answer to my question is "NO." this painting needs more work. today, because i have a very small window before leaving for alamosa, i confined my work to defining the metal window frames, so that they come to the front more, framing and pushing back the sculpture garden. there's still more i'd like to do, and tomorrow is another short day, as we're leaving for edwards to attend the middle school kids presentation of their projects. so we'll see how much i can get done tomorrow. tweaking is best not done under pressure, and i have plenty of time, so maybe i'll give myself a break tomorrow, work on other things and wait till saturday to complete my tweaks.

i don't think so. i have a short painting day today; we have to leave at 1:15pm for an actionlab appointment in alamosa. so i'll have a closer look at the painting and decide. if i do make changes, i'll try and post then before leaving the studio. below: a couple of details.
