back in my studio / by Philip Tarlow

3:58pm update: here's where i'm stopping for the day.

1:49pm update: i resumed work on parade 36; here's the current state. on row 2: today's palette. the newly painted segment is on row 1, right. the painting won't jump into focus for another day or two. we've got to drive back up to denver sunday, back monday night. so whatever i can get done tomorrow, then i can resume on tuesday for an uninterrupted period and complete parade 36.

11:36am update: i'm back in my studio after a couple of very productive days in denver. we had another super productive meeting about the design and time line of our educational product, currently called action lab, but soon to change names. i hung with isla, who at about 3 years is very quick, very smart and very beautiful! above left: one of her recent drawings, right: a view from golden, which is about 20 minutes form downtown denver.

i had a great meeting with a denver gallery director/owner in which we agreed to commence a working relationship. i'll share more about that once we've completed our agreement. suffice it to say i'm very excited; i've always wanted representation in denver, in addition to gremillion in houston and skoufa gallery in athens, greece who each have represented my work for over 20 years.

here's the current state of parade 36 as i'm about to start work today. more pics as the painting progresses. we have early dinner guests, so i'll be stopping early today.
