some of the material i used for these 2 collages contains references to watches, as is true for many of the collages in this series. these two also contain snippets referring to denno coil, or cyberocoil. this is a 2007 japanese anime series set in the city of daikoku eleven years after the introduction of internet connected ar glasses. it's the capital of the half-virtual world populated by parallel pets, friends, objects and dangers.
the protagonists are children and the world they see is the world they construct! when viruses called illegals, visible only through the ar glasses threaten the children and trap them in a small room, a girl named fume turns to her sister yuko and asked "why don't we turn our glasses off?" a metaphysical story indeed!
