CHANGES TO XIA CREEK
i've been looking at the 8/24 version of xia creek, below, for over a week. the central passage, seemed too busy and took away from some of the other areas. i worked on it this morning, then turned it on it's side. it worked, and the painting became far more coherent. now it sings.
it's a mystery how this happens. impossible to repeat.
