we had this painting hanging in the house for almost a month & although we both loved it, there was something that was not working. we (and i mean we,) settled on the area in the lower left quadrant. our eye kept being pulled to the brown & orange rock shapes.

so we brought the painting back to my studio, where i worked on it, taking care not to take too much out & not disturb the beautiful passages in this painting. now it will return to the house & we'll see how it holds up.
